Galen Knutson

Intentional Interim Pastor

Pastor Galen joined our staff in January 2022 as Intentional Interim Pastor. For seventeen years prior to his retirement in 2015, he served in this role for a dozen congregations across the country who were in transition. He has specialized training and expertise in building healthy churches. In his years after retirement Pastor Galen was certified as a spiritual director and served extensively in that role with men in drug and alcohol recovery at Guiding Light Recovery in Grand Rapids. We are pleased to welcome Pastor Galen and his wife, Pastor Donna Erickson, into our church community.

Marcia Schultz

Support Pastor

Pastor Marcia joined our staff in January 2022 as a contracted visitation and support pastor. As a trained Stephen Ministry leader, she also helps guide our Stephen Ministers. Prior to working at St. Luke’s, Pastor Marcia served as a solo pastor in Biloxi, MS then as the settled, part-time pastor for Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Edmore. In the last couple of years, she has served as a pulpit supply pastor throughout our synod. We welcome Pastor Marcia and her husband, Michael, to our church community.

Kim Owens

Director of Music Ministries

Kim joined our staff in May 2022 as Director of Music Ministries. Kim brings to this position a wealth of experience in coordinating and leading worship music, serving in this role here in the past. Kim is also a band instructor for the Forest Hills school district. She brings her vivacious personality to this leadership role working in collaboration with pastors, music staff and lay worship leaders and utilizing the talented musicians and vocalists at St. Luke’s. Kim and her husband, Lance, with their sons Brandon and Chris, are long-time members of St. Luke’s.

Becca Tape & Karina Rhodes

Becca and Karina are job-sharing the duties and responsibilities of this position for the summer. Both are long-time members and active participants at St. Luke’s. We are grateful for their willingness to step into this role and serve with joyful hearts.
