Pastor Kyle joined the St. Luke’s staff in November of 2023. This is Pastor Kyle’s first call as an ELCA Pastor, graduating from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in May 2023 with both Environmental and Interfaith emphases. Prior to seminary he worked with several social service agencies from 2016-2022. He and his wife, Jeneal, are midwestern natives, and have one delightful son and two cats in their Grand Rapids home.

Pastor Kyle’s personal ministry statement: “As a relational, missional, and sacramental leader, God has called me to collaboratively facilitate diverse, inclusive communities of belonging and becoming. Witnessing to God’s story of radical welcome, I will empower disciples who faithfully embody God’s grace through acts of justice and compassion for the healing of God’s beloved world.”

Kim joined our staff in May 2022 as Director of Music Ministries. Kim brings to this position a wealth of experience in coordinating and leading worship music, serving in this role here in the past. Kim is also a middle school band instructor for NorthPointe Christian Schools. She brings her vivacious personality to this leadership role working in collaboration with pastors, music staff and lay worship leaders and utilizing the talented musicians and vocalists at St. Luke’s. Kim and her husband, Lance, with their sons Brandon and Chris, are long-time members of St. Luke’s.

After job-sharing the duties of Office Administrator for a few months, Karina stepped into the position full time in August 2022. Her kind and caring disposition and her strong computer and organizational skills are a blessing to our congregation. She and her husband, Chris, and their five children are long-time members and faithful servants at St. Luke’s.

Sarah has taught Faith Formation classes and has led a home church for many years at St. Luke’s. Professionally she has been an administrative assistant in Forest Hills Public Schools. Sarah has been a long-time member and we’re excited to have her on staff.

Carson joined our staff in 2022 as an audio/visual worship technology specialist. In this role, he supports the audio and visual systems for in-person and online worship services. Carson also works as a software developer at Amway and has a passion for all things technology.
