For I resolved to know nothing…except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
— Saint Paul, 1 Corinthians 2:2
Our community confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. Jesus invites you into his love and an ever-deepening personal relationship with God and God’s people. At St. Luke’s we recognize the vital importance of faith formation as the process by which the relationship with God begun in baptism continues to live and grow toward spiritual maturity. This life-long process is the mutual responsibility of parents and children, individuals and the faith family. We recognize that parents and the congregation have a specific responsibility to nurture those who are in the formative periods of their spiritual journey and that the church has a specific responsibility to nurture people in significant life transitions.
We help people to grow in Christ through a number of ministries that partner with parents to equip and enable during these faith forming years, and through ministries targeted towards important life transitions in each persons walk of faith. These ministries include our regular worship services, Faith Formation classes, small groups, confirmation classes and Wednesday night family ministries, among others. If you would like to know more about any of these ministries, please contact us.
