Welcome to St. Luke’s inaugural Summer Concert Series Join us for 3 outstanding concerts on our backyard lawn. Each concert begins at 7:00p.m. and lasts about 90 minutes. The music is as mellow and relaxing as a warm summer’s night, and completely family friendly. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. No tickets are required; the cost is FREE (though we would be grateful for any free will offering). Here’s a little information about the bands who will be performing:
Thursday, July 28 – THE KEYNOTE SISTERS
Sisters Phoebe and Jaclyn have been performing together since 2013, playing at festivals, listening rooms and private parties in Michigan. Accompanied by guitar, keyboard and cajon, the Keynote Sisters’ sound pulls from influences of pop, folk, and Americana, tied together by their signature knit-tight harmonies. Thursday, August 11 – JOSH ROSE & THE FOUNDING FATHERS
Josh Rose is a craftsman whose songs are plucked from the air, like lightning bugs destined for an old Mason jar. Songs that are polished like the ancient stones in the Flat River. Josh grew up in the northern woodlands and fine tuned his songwriting in the borderlands. He has spent the past 10 years touring the Midwest, teaching, writing, and creating a rich body of work. Thursday, August 25 – DEEP GREENS & BLUES
This down-home alt country group from Grand Rapids features one of St. Luke’s own talented musicians, Travis Atkinson. The band blends soulful harmonies and artisan-crafted songwriting to explore the depths of roots, country, and folk traditions, creating new vibes inspired by old sounds. Since forming in 2011, the band has recorded 4 albums and has performed in listening rooms, concert halls, and house concerts. Learn more at http://www.deepgreensmusic. com/
