Healing and anointing with oil have been a part of the Church’s mission since its beginning. The order for the healing service on this day will be different than what is experienced at St. Luke’s Church on regular fifth Sundays of the month. Individuals seeking healing will be able to approach one of four stations where they will be greeted by two members of a “healing team,” will be seated, and will have an opportunity to share confidentially their needs. Team members will address the needs by the laying on of hands, anointing with oil, and prayer.
The Bishop Emeritus John Schleicher, preaching. The focus of our service of Lament and Healing will be Racial Reconciliation.
