Our first look at the site this morning, and well, Mitch’s expression tells it all..Our Father, Who Art In Heaven….
Hello everyone! Here is our latest update after day 3 on the home build has ended. We had massive, heavy rain with thunder and lighting last night, I went outside late last night, under the cover of the porch on our cabin and I must say, I felt the power of God above us! The heavy rain washed away some of our work on the site, setting us back a bit. Nonetheless, the team battled through the weather and some sickness to make great progress with the build again today. I am going to post some of the work at the building site going on with the team. Then, I’ll post some pictures of the local people and scenery, so you can get a flavor of the location, atmosphere and culture we are so blessed to experience. The experience we have had thus far is one that our father in heaven has so dearly blessed us to take part in. Enjoy!!

This little guy stops every day, checks us out, hangs out on the project site, very curious about us

Lupita with her brother, at the site watching us work – they are so excited to have they are so excited for their new home!!

This very gracious and kind senior citizen was a patron of HFH housing, several years ago, when a St Lukes team made a trip to help build. She offered us her finest rooster!

Met this nice young lady as we walked to another site, she told us in spanish, we are happy you are here to help, Gracias!

Hiking through the jungle like forest to get to the HFH home build assisted by a St Lukes team in the past

This is a typical mode of transportation here. Small pick up truck with 10 or so people all standing in the truck bed out back!
